3 Ingredient Tuna Cat Treats

Let’s give our cats some extra love! We’ve created a delicious recipe for homemade cat treats that are not only easy to make, but are grain free and only require THREE simple ingredients: canned tuna, an egg, and Solid Gold® SeaMeal™ .

These treats will have your kitty begging for more, but you can rest easy knowing they are good for them too! Solid Gold SeaMeal supplement provides support for skin and coat, digestive and immune system health in your pets. Utilizing seaweed, Earth’s original superfood, SeaMeal combines red, green and brown seaweed species to deliver transformational health benefits for dogs and cats. Since coat and skin issues and digestive issues often go hand-in hand, digestive enzymes are added to support digestive health. Rich in omega-3 fatty acids, flaxseed meal is included to provide additional support for skin and coat health.

Ingredients

- 1 can of tuna in oil (in water will work too. The oil will help keep them more combined)
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon Solid Gold SeaMeal Powder

How to Do It

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 325 degrees and line a baking sheet with wax or parchment paper

Step 2: Separate your egg white from the yolk and discard the yolk

Step 3: In a bowl, beat the egg white into stiff peaks with either a whisk or a hand mixer

Step 4: Drain your tuna from the can and add to a blender or small food processor with the SeaMeal and half of your whipped egg white

Step 5: Blend together until all lumps are gone and it forms a smooth paste

Step 6: Empty the tuna paste into the bowl with the remaining egg whites and fold in gently

Step 7: Once combined, add the mixture to a piping bag

Pro tip: No piping bag? Fill a Ziploc bag with the mixture and cut off a small corner

Step 8: Use your piping bag to squeeze your paste onto the parchment lined baking sheet into individual treats. Depending on your cat’s size, we would suggest keeping them around the size of a dime or a nickel for easy eating

Step 19: Bake for 20-25 minutes until firm

Step 10: Allow to cool, and enjoy!

Pro tip: Store in an airtight container to prolong freshness
