We recommend splitting these daily guidelines into two meals. Feeding amounts are guidelines only and may vary based on activity level, health condition, life stage and temperature. It is important to maintain your dog’s ideal body condition for their long-term health. Since Solid Gold dog foods are complete and balanced, additional foods, treats and chews may alter that balance. Be sure to offer fresh, clean water daily. We recommend your dog see the veterinarian annually.

Feed Puppies, Lactating & Gestating Females: Puppies start to nibble on solid food at 3 to 4 weeks of age. We recommend moistening dry food with warm water or Solid Gold canned food through weaning (6 to 8 weeks of age). Maintain your puppy’s ideal body condition. Appetite changes are normal with most puppies. Puppies and Lactating / gestating females may need two to three times more food than shown in the table.

Switching to Solid Gold Pet Foods: Switching to any new dog food should be a gradual transition over 7 to 10 days. Replace 25% of the current food with Solid Gold for 2 to 3 days, then feed a little more Solid Gold over the next 5 to 7 days until they are eating Solid Gold exclusively. This gradual transition will help reduce any digestive upsets that may occur due to the change in diet.

My 3 toy poodles had been on the same brand food for several years and I wanted to switch them to solid gold but want sure how they would respond so I bought a small bag for them to try. Well these girls refused to eat their old stuff and went straight for solid gold. My 12 year old has the energy of our 20 month old. They all seem to have brighter eyes, more energetic and over feel great.

I switched my very picky white 8 month old maltipoo to this and she LOVES it! The small pieces are perfect for her. The best part is that her awful tear stains have cleared up so much within just one month! They are so much lighter and her eyes aren’t so watery all the time anymore. My 4 month old toy poodle switched to this as well even though he didn’t have any issues with his other food. He kept stealing my maltipoo’s food because he loves the taste. I have to mention that both their coats look so much fuller and softer now. I only wish I had found this food sooner.

In December 2020 I adopted my Shih Tz | Yorkie mix from a coworker. I kept him on the food they started him on but quickly realized I was now the owner of a FINICKY dog. ( go figure) So I was scrambling to figure something out and tried Fresh pet Small breed chicken. It was hit or miss but more hits than miss. A few days ago he just stopped eating his dry food and I was frazzled. Now I’m at a quandary, what do I do at this point. I have less than 1/3 cup in his tub and a unopened bag in the pantry???? I took a trip to Petco. I spoke with two different Associates who had on Tshirts advertising their nutrition knowledge and I have a furbaby who is NOT eating his dry food w/out toppers. One suggested Solid Gold becausethey offer a variety specifically for Small breeds. Solid Gold I thought you were just a pretty bag with no nutritional value, but after speaking with a Petco Associate and reading the label I am sorry to have passed you by. My furbaby is eating the dry chicken and moist variety AND he will eat the dry without a topper, he has never done that since I got him. I’m happy.
Thank you Solid Gold for your knowledge and nutritionally sound food.

I had recently adopted a shih tzu, a very picky eater. I just could not get him to eat wet or dry. A friend mentioned this product. He loves it. It’s been over two months now. Thank you!
