We recommend splitting these daily guidelines into two meals. Feeding amounts are guidelines only and may vary based on activity level, health condition, life stage and temperature. It is important to maintain your dog’s ideal body condition for their long-term health. Since Solid Gold dog foods are complete and balanced, additional foods, treats and supplements may alter that balance. Be sure to offer fresh, clean water daily. We recommend your dog see the veterinarian annually.

Feed Puppies, Lactating & Gestating Females: Puppies start to nibble on solid food at 3 to 4 weeks of age. We recommend moistening dry food with warm water or Solid Gold canned food through weaning (6 to 8 weeks of age). Maintain your puppy’s ideal body condition. Appetite changes are normal with most puppies. Lactating/gestating females may need two to three times more food than shown for Adult Dogs.

Switching to Solid Gold Pet Foods: Switching to any new dog food should be a gradual transition over 7 to 10 days. Replace 25% of the current food with Solid Gold for 2 to 3 days, then feed a little more Solid Gold over the next 5 to 7 days until your dog is eating Solid Gold exclusively. This gradual transition will help reduce digestive upsets that may occur due to the change in diet.

Our German Shepherd puppy was on Victor Hi Pro Plus at the breeders. That did not agree with him so vet suggested ProPlan Large Breed which caused mucous poops! We switched him to Solid Gold Wolf Cub on the recommendation of a Petco Store Manager. Puppy loves this food stools have been better so we are very pleased!!

I have 3 cats and have been feeding them solid gold for about 4 years now. When we adopted our German Shepherd puppy I knew exactly what to feed him. He was on a name brand food you can get at sams club in bulk with the breeder and as soon as I introduced solid gold he picked out all the pieces of kibble and left the breeders food untouched in the bowl. He loves it he’s putting on the correct amount of weight for a puppy his age and has great energy.

We brought a rescue red nosed pitbull puppy home about 3 weeks ago. She’s about 3 months old, and when we got her she had skin bumps( didn’t seem to bother her..not red, just raised bumps)on various parts and we were told they were most likely from bug bites. That didn’t seem right to me as more were appearing after we got her home from FL to WI(which got me wondering about a food allergy). She was on a major national brand puppy chow and we feed all our other dogs Solid Gold(for over 10 years). So, we began the food switch to Wolf Cub large breed puppy, which is going great. Within days I noticed a reduction in the bumps and as the switch to only Wolf Cub almost all the bumps are gone!

Needless to say, Thank You Solid Gold!!!,
    Dixie and her furever family
